In your Saved tab, tap the add icon next to your devices name to select it. This will change it to a check icon and cause a yellow button to appear at the bottom of your screen (it will indicate the number of selected devices). Tap the yellow button once you have your desired devices selected.
A small screen will appear.

Tap the save button when you're happy with the name.

Groups
Go to the Groups tab to see all the groups you've created.
- Device groups can be singular (only consist of one device) or they may consist of many devices (as of now there is no limit).
To start personalizing your device(s) tap the palette icon next to your group name.
A new screen will appear, the color and effects palette.
Color Palette
-
Color / Effects Palette
Let's get to know your color and effects palette!
- The top section is your Color Picker.
- The lower section is your Effects picker.
- The sparkle button (next to Effects) sends your selection to your device(s).
-
Color Sliders
The color sliders are found above and below the color wheel.
They control the colors intensity (saturation) and brightness (value).
The top slider controls the brightness, while the bottom slider controls it's intensity.
*We generally leave the brightness alone and slide the intensity all the way up.
-
Color Wheel
Between the sliders you'll find the color wheel. So many hues to choose from!
Pretty simple to use; just slide around to any spot on the wheel to choose your color.
The center circle will display your current selection. It will change as you go around the wheel and move the sliders.
-
Effects
There are two main types of effects.
- Custom Effects
- Special Effects
By default the Custom Effect - Elemental is chosen for you.
This effect is a solid, steady light.
If you've gone thru the steps, selected a color, and pressed the sparkle button, you'll see your device light up with your chosen color.
A few things to keep in mind:
- Each effect runs thru a small program. If you change effects, press the sparkle button and don't immediately see things change, wait a moment. Chances are the program hasn't finished running. Once it does you'll see you're new selection start up.
- Some effects are longer than others. For example, most of the Special effects will take longer to run than the Custom effects.
Don't forget to press the sparkle button! We can't stress this enough.
LOL... if you've changed effects, and chosen a different color and are wondering "why is nothing happening?" You may have forgotten to send the magic. Press the button!
-
Custom Effects
Custom Effects allow you to choose a color and an effect.
- Select Custom in the first column, then from the second column choose an effect.
- Press the sparkle button to make the magic happen.
-
Special Effects
Special Effects only allow you to choose an effect. The color sequence is already selected for you.
- Select Special in the first column, then from the second column choose an effect.
- Press the sparkle button to make the magic happen.

Edit:
You may edit your device or group names at any time using the pencil icon.
A single tap over the name will reveal the editing icons.
Delete:
If you'd like to delete a device or group simply long press over the name and a new pop up will appear. It will ask you to confirm you want to delete.
- If you delete a device that has been placed in a group, it will be removed from the group. If the device is the only device in the group, the group will remain, but will be empty.
- If you delete a group that contains any devices, only the group will be deleted. All the devices will still remain and can be seen in the Saved devices tab.
Add / Remove:
Devices may be added or removed from an existing group at any time by selecting the small list and pencil icon from the groups editing icons.
- If a group has a singular device, it will not allow that device to be removed. There needs to be more than one device in the group for it to be removed.
-

Tap once over the names to reveal the editing icons and the list of devices in each group.

The list of devices are found below the group name.
-
Group Edits
The expanded group tab allows you to see the editing icons and which devices are currently in each group.
- Here we can see we've chosen to have control over each device individually, by placing each one in it's own group.
- We've also decided to control both at the same time by placing the pair in a group together.
-
Edit Name
Let's edit our Pair group name:

Your keyboard should appear.

- In the center of the screen we can see all the devices from our current group list.
- At the bottom is our REMOVE button.
Since we have not selected any devices to remove yet, the REMOVE button is not yet available.
-
Remove - Select
- To select a device to remove, tap the subtract icon.
- The subtract icon will change to a check icon, the quantity to remove count in the top right will change to 1. Because we only have a single device in our group, we are not allowed to remove it and the REMOVE button remains inactive.
- If we had more than one device, our REMOVE button would become active. We would then tap the REMOVE button to make the desired changes.
OK...sooooo....we've covered alot and hope you're excited about getting started with your new companion app!
